Tyrone Anthony Tottress, was born prematurely on July 23, 1952 in San Diego, California only weighing 2lbs. The Greek meaning of the name Tyrone is “young soldier”, and that he was. His strength allowed him to thrive. But, just like his birth, his death came too soon.
Tyrone attended St. Jude Academy, St. Augustine High, and Samuel F.B. Morse High Schools in San Diego.
After High School he joined the United States Army, and was stationed at Fort Ord in California. Once his term in the Army was complete he worked as an Insurance Salesman. Tyrone was a Qualified Mixologist having attended the American Bartenders School.
On April 17, 1980, Tyrone married Kathryn “Katy” Stark, and they were together over 41 years living, loving, and raising their family.
Tyrone was an Umpire, Coach, Manager, and President for South Bay Baseball Little League of Chula Vista.
He was a member of the Black Sabbath Motorcycle Club from 1974 - 1994 where he served as Road Captain. In 1994 Tyrone became a Nomad in the San Diego Chosen Few Motorcycle Club where he also formerly served as President.
He was preceded in death by: Mother; Helen Liggins, Step Father; Paul Liggins, Father; Edwin Tottress, and Sister; Judy Tottress- Hopson.
He is survived by: Wife; Katy Tottress, Sons; Tyrone “Tony” Tottress II (Sara), and Joseph Tottress (Cristal). Sisters; Dona Tottress- Moss, Roxanne Tottress - Henry (Malcolm), and Brother; Alan Price. Grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kailey, Sarah, Stephen, Layla, Joe Joe, and Great Grandchildren; Fidelity, and Stephen. Nieces; Danyell, Nicole, Christina, and Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Tyrone rode out of this earthly place on September 5, 2020. But, he will always be in our hearts.
