So, teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psals 90:12
U.S Williams, age 83, passed away on April 30, 2024, in his hometown of Hempstead, Texas, United States. He was born on February 7, 1941, to Reverned and B.E Williams. His parents, one sister, three brothers, one half-sister, and five half-brothers preceded him in death.
U.S Williams married his beloved wife Marie in 1960, and together they raised six children - Carla (Warren), Lonnie, Carmen, Suzette, Gerry, and Robert. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren Shandricka, T'Gerra, Gerry, J'Von, and Shawaka, and ten great grandchildren.
He was born in Sulphur Springs, TX., but grew up in Hempstead where he attended Hempstead High School. After graduation, he confessed his love to Christ and lived his life as a God fearing man. U.S. held down many jobs in Houston, TX., and Chrysler Corporation was one. He was known for being able to accomplish anything he set his mind to. With that, he took a risk at leaving Chrysler to start a successful business known to many in the Houston area as U.S. Williams Demolishing Company that was located at 6729 Cullen Blvd. He hired many of his family and friends to operate his company. While the business thrived, he was affectionately called Mr. Cullen. He retired the business to enjoy his accomplishments and spend time with his family and watch the legacy he created live on through his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Aside from his professional life, U.S Williams enjoyed hobbies such as fishing. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his family, and his love for the outdoors. He was a family man who loved nothing more than being the head of his house and a provider for his family.
He leaves to mourn six children, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a host of many relatives and friends, and a long-time trusted employee, friend, and caregiver Lonnie Lamford. Lonnie stood by his side until the very end of his life to mourn his death.
U.S. Williams will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
