Umapathy Nagarathinam, 74, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed on August 15, 2023. Umapathy was born on May 25, 1949.

Umapathy was a visionary leader who came from farmers family background studied engineering and opted career in Auto-Industry.

He was very much duty bound and progressed in his career by working day and night shifts .

On May 9 ,1977,he married Umamageswary who nearly lost a leg in a childhood accident. They were together for 46 years..Umapathy was happy to bike with wife and kids across the Chennai city .

He civil engineered our home construction in chennai and persisted on his design features and its strong foundation.

Umapathy was pragmatic, methodic, always pushing boundaries , and very much duty bound ! He was fearless and demanded respect, yet emotional and incredibly tough competitor. Even during his last days he managed to push boundaries to be with his grandkids .

Umapathy was a strong fighter, but he is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know that he is free from pain and is floating peacefully in waters of his dreams.
