A life well lived

Valerie Smith, lovingly known as the Queen of Chaos, finally surrendered to the chaos of life on October 3rd, 2023, leaving behind a trail of laughter and mayhem in her wake. Born on May 19th, 1971, in Joplin, Missouri, Valerie was the kind of person who could find humor in any situation, even if it meant accidentally setting her hair on fire while grilling burgers.

Valerie grew up in Joplin, where her parents, Ted Baggett and Debra Baggett, quickly learned that they had birthed a tornado wrapped in human form. From an early age, she displayed a mischievous spirit and a knack for finding trouble in the most unexpected places. Her childhood mantra was, "Why walk when you can skip, stumble, and cartwheel your way through life?". Her parents always pleaded with her to take life more seriously, but Valerie was too busy seeing the world through a pair of comic lenses.

After surviving her high school years at Joplin High School, where her flair for mischief led to countless detentions and creative excuses for missing homework, Valerie decided to take her shenanigans to the next level. She enrolled in Missouri Southern University, with ambitions of turning her love for chaos into a career. Her professors quickly realized that Valerie's unique blend of humor and mayhem was not something that could be taught in a normal classroom.

After leaving behind a tornado-shaped hole in the walls of her dorm room, Valerie stumbled upon a job at Prime Inc. Despite her tendency to misplace important paperwork and accidentally send emails filled with emojis to clients, Valerie was a beloved member of the Prime Inc. team. Her colleagues were always on the edge of their seats, waiting to see what unexpected hilarity she would unleash upon their daily routine.

Valerie's greatest accomplishment, however, was not her ability to turn life into a three-ring circus, but her role as a mother to her three children: Sheldon, Ariel, and Serena. While the chaos often reigned supreme within their household, Valerie's children were raised with a uniqueness and sense of humor that will be carried on for generations to come. She showered them with love, laughter, and an impressive collection of whoopee cushions.

In addition to her three children, Valerie leaves behind two grandchildren who were often left breathless with laughter after spending time with their one-of-a-kind grandma. Their names shall remain a mystery, for Valerie loved surprises and secrets just as much as she loved practical jokes.

Valerie Smith, may your laughter continue to echo through the halls of heaven, filling the hearts of angels with joy. We will forever remember your infectious smile, the sparkle in your eyes, and the chaos you brought into our lives.

You can to the family or in memory of Valerie Smith.
