Valey Philip Landry, 79, was born on Aug. 4, 1936, and passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. He was a native of Vacherie and resident of Thibodaux.A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.He is survived by his wife, Cindy B. Landry; sons, Dale Landry and wife, Elise, and Jules Landry; daughters, Anne Ockmond and husband, Lucien, Emelie Cortez and husband, Mike, and Delia Kraemer and husband, Terry; stepsons, John Duplass and Brandon Duplass and wife, Melissa; stepdaughter, Kristi Duplass; brother, Leo Landry; sister, Una Rodrigue; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Landry Sr. and Viola Legendre Landry; brothers, Jaedee Landry, Wilson Landry Jr. and Erie Landry; and sister, Rena Rodrigue.Valey was employed by Avondale Shipyard for 43 years.Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
