Resolution For Sister Velma Toups:

Sister Toups entered into her life with the Lord on May 28, 2020. She accepted Christ as her Savior and committed her life to serving the Lord. She became a faithful member of the church by singing in the choir, teaching in Sunday school, completing her baptism training, and hosting vacation bible school. She was dedicated to the mission and uplifting her community. She took her job as the Church Committee President very serious. Sister Toups implemented programs dedicated to ministering to society and helping her community seek guidance from the Lord. She was a strong advocate for the homeless, abused, and drug addicted individuals in her community. Her absence is a strong pain to those around her. She was a selfless woman who carried herself with dignity and grace.

Sister Toups was an active and faithful member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother of three and a grandmother to many. Her main prioirty was to teach them about the Lord and create wonderful memories. Through sickness, Sister Toups managed to love her fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as her family. She has shown her family, friends, and community infinite love, and she will continue to watch over us in death. She will be truly missed.
