Velma Jones, 73, of Alton (Illinois), Illinois, passed Saturday, May 30, 2020. Velma was born to Francine L. Collins, December 27, 1946 in Alton, Illinois. She married Willie E. Jones in 2002, and they lived together in Alton (Illinois). Velma worked at Olin until she retired in 2005. She is a member of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church.

Velma is survived by 2 children: June D Crumer, and Jill H Mathias (Virgil Mathias). She also is survived by 7 grandchildren: Tyiesha Crumer, Charlie Spann, Kiara Mathias, Ariel Mathias, LaAris Crumer, Deja Crumer, and LaKia Mathias.

Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights, IL.
