We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Vera Williams, who was born on March 5, 1962, in District of Columbia, District of Columbia, United States. She peacefully passed away on February 28, 2025.

Vera was the beloved daughter of George Moore and Mary Frazier. She was the loving spouse of James Piggott, whom she married in the year 1995. Vera is survived by her two children, Kurtisha Williams (Barry Reed) and Curtis Williams (Tameka Braxton), and her three grandchildren.

Vera attended Lafayette High School and graduated in 1981. She later went on to work at Williamsburg Pottery, where she dedicated many years of her life before retiring in 2015.

Vera had a passion for knitting and spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit.

Rest in peace, Vera. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Viewing will be at Whtings Funeral home March 10, 2025 from 12:00 p.m-3:00 p.m. Details on memorial service will be determined by family.
