Verna H. Thompson, age 94, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at LECOM Senior Living Center. She was born on May 2, 1922, in Mina, N.Y., a daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Barringer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Thompson. Verna is survived by a daughter, Sharon Peterson (Tim) of Erie; grandson, Adam Peszel (Becky); and three great-grandchildren of Chambersburg, Pa.; sister, Erma Lloyd of Lakewood, N.Y.; and a stepdaughter, Janice Neff (Lee) of Venango, Pa. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7 p.m. conducted by Rev. John Shank.
