Vicki (Casteel) Blain1945 - 2014Vicki (Casteel) Blain, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Sanford, Fla., after a short illness. She was born on Sept. 18, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Beulah M. Casteel (Pfeiffer) and William Casteel. She lived in Kenosha early in life and was married to Guy Buckelew. They later divorced and she moved to Massachusetts where she met and married Bill Withers. She was a homemaker most of her life.Vicki is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Ann Withers (Tom Holmberg) and Carrie (Dave) Santos, and a stepson, Bill Withers, Jr., her sisters, Sharon (Jim) Redlin of Sanford, Fla., Joann (Roger) Lindow of Salem, Oh., Mechelle (Rodney) Beiser of Kenosha, and her two brothers, Rick Casteel and Bill (Lynne) Casteel, also of Kenosha. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Benjamin, Stephanie, David and Damien, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Vicki loved life she had an infectious smile and laugh. She cared for others deeply, and everyone that met her loved her instantly. She loved going to rummage (tag) sales, and loved to shop. She took special care of her five younger siblings growing up. She loved crafting and painting, and she was very good at it. She loved Florida which is where she spent the winters.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of the Comforter in Sanford, Florida, for their impeccable care and compassion for Vicki. And a special thank you to her sister Sharon for taking amazing care of Vicki in her final days. There will be a visitation at the Salvation Army Chapel located at 3116 75th Street, Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
