Victor R. Lonn Victor "Vic" R. Lonn, 83, passed away on March 4, 2017. Vic was born on January 21, 1934 in Bath, Maine, the son of Sven Bertil Lonn and Margaret Duley Lonn. He graduated from Morse High School in 1952 and married his high school sweetheart Joan Safford on March 7, 1953. After graduating from the University of Maine, he began his career with the US Forest Service at Hemlock Ranger Station, Carson, WA. He then served two years in the US Army stationed at Nike Missile Site in Wisconsin. Resuming his career with the Forest Service he and his family lived in WA, ME, NH, MN, and then moved to Juneau, Alaska in 1971. In 1978 he went to work for Natural Resources, State of Alaska where he headed up the Land Lottery for Southeast Alaska. In 1988 he founded Glacier Bay Realty in Gustavus, Alaska. He and Joan retired to Sequim, WA in 1995 and moved to Gig Harbor, WA in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 64 years and his four children, Richard Lonn and wife Ellen Ganley of Fairbanks, AK, Suzanne Smith and husband Karl of Gig Harbor, WA, Wayne Lonn of Excursion Inlet, AK, Linda Lonn and husband Grant Murphy of Fallbrook, CA; grandchildren Elizabeth Wellington and husband Tyson, Eric Lonn and wife Angel, Kory Smith and wife Amber, Jake Smith, Garret Murphy, Paige, Denise and Blaine Murphy. Three great grandchildren Brady and Carter Wellington and Kennedy Smith. A sister Anna Lonn Cushman of Koloa, Hawaii and sister in-law Margaret Laguff of Bath, Maine.
