Victor Messerli, 86 of Salinas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
He was born March 26, 1929 in Oregon.
He was a teacher in both the parochial and public school systems for most of his adult life. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, and especially loved fishing. He was known for the beautiful custom fishing rods that he made. For many years he officiated at multiple sports games for the Salinas City Recreation Leagues and for local schools, and was often called Kojak.
Victor was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church for many years.
Victor leaves behind a daughter, Juanita (John) Eddings of Browns Valley, CA., sons, Jeffrey (Barbara) Messerli of Stanwood, WA., Bradley (Melinda) Messerli of Prunedale, CA., Gregory (Rosalie) Messerli of Prunedale, CA., Tito (Debbie) Messerli of Lopez Island, WA., seven, grandchildren and seven, great grandchildren.
