Victoria L. RishNew FreedomAfter a year-long battle with cancer, Victoria L. Rish passed away on October 19, 2017, at home in New Freedom. Her best friend of 21 years, John Lyons, was at her side.Vicki was born on September 3, 1955, in Hershey. She graduated from Hershey High School and went on to college at Penn State University. Vicki graduated phi beta kappa with a major in German in 1977. She enjoyed camping in the state parks. Every winter, Vicki and John would plan their camping trips for the summer. They especially liked Ricketts Glen and Leonard Harrison State Parks in northern PA. She loved to cook and would bring desserts into the office for her friends and colleagues at Dentsply where she had worked for the last fourteen years. Her lemon meringue pies were legendary amongst family and friends.Vicki was predeceased by her brother, John; and her parents, Raymond and Geraldine Rish. She is survived by John Lyons; and step-daughter, Jennie Lyons; and granddaughter, Stella; her brother, Michael Rish (Mary) of Camp Hill; her nieces and nephews, Jonathon Rish (C.J.), Barbara Henson (Justin), Jennifer Rish and James Rish (Savannah); and six great nephews and nieces, Matthew, Abigail, Rebecca, Kathryn, Aaron and Cynthia.A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of her family.
