Vilda HowellNovember 27, 1922 - May 11, 2015Vilda P. Howell, 92, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at a local Medical Center. Vilda was born on November 27, 1922 in Cleveland, Idaho to Clifford H. Prescott and Hannah Hansen Prescott. She married Bert L. Howell on September 2, 1939 in American Falls, Idaho.Vilda worked at various grocery stores as a clerk, worked for Kraft, worked at GNC Nutrition Center, and at Fred Meyer Nutrition Center. She also owned the La Casa Del Taco.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Vilda loved to bargain shop, gardening and she loved to cook Sunday dinners. She loved to go down to the Senior Citizen Center every Friday and Saturday night to dance her heart away.Vilda is survived by her children, Bonnie Cheney of Peoria, AZ, Jerry (Suzanne) Howell of Pocatello, ID, Eddie (Barbara) Howell of MayHill, NM, Cheri (Kent) Rowe of Pocatello, ID; sister, Joyce Tolman of Glendale, AZ; and brother, Ray Prescott of Afton, WY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert L. Howell, parents, Clifford and Hannah Prescott, three brothers, Ellis, Albert and Robert Prescott, and one sister, Fern Rust.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201. 208-233-1500, with a viewing for one hour prior. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM also at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
