S/SGT Vincent "Vinny" G. Brown, USMC, Retired S/SGT Vincent "Vinny" G. Brown, USMC, Retired, 77, husband of Dolores Jagla Brown of Sheldon, SC, died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his residence. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at Anderson Funeral Home with the Rosary recited at 6:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:30 am at Saint Peter's Catholic Church with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Vinny was born on February 8, 1939 in Chicago, Il. He is the son of the late Robert Brown and Elvira Tremaine Brown. He is a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Also a life member of the DAV and was a volunteer with the Sheldon Fire Department. Surviving in addition to his wife, Dolores; are two sons, Robert Matthew Brown and Joseph William Brown(Debra); three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald and Robert Brown and one sister, Arlene Serro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Knights of Columbus. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
