GLASERE, Viola EvePassed away peacefully after a long struggle with numerous health issues on June 25, 2017 at the age of 84. Viola will be lovingly remembered by her husband Vernon of Leduc; her daughters Bonnie Cornforth of Carstairs and Bette Christensen of Blackfalds; grandchildren Michael Cornforth, Jeri-Lynn (Trevor) Stephens, Karma (Nic) Deibert, Stacy Christensen, Sara (James LePretre) Christensen; and her great- grandchildren Chase, Keesha, Joey, Lily, Tyler, Travis, Makaila, Dracon, Tyler and Brooke. As well as her brothers Raymond (Lorraine) Ball, David (Jerry) Ball; sisters-In- law Joyce Ball and Jackie; brother-in-law Glenn (Anna) Glasere; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viola was born on August 17, 1932 in Elk Point, Alberta. She grew up in Mirror where she graduated High School. Viola married and had four children. After the passing of her first husband, she met Vernon and they were married on July 5,1980. After farming near Leduc they relocated to Millet for a year and found their forever farm just outside of Sunnybrook, Alberta where they remained until May 2, 2016. At that time, they moved into Leduc to Salem Mews where she resided at the time of her passing. A celebration of Viola's life will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at St Peters Lutheran Church, 5012 – 51 Avenue, Leduc, Alberta. Interment to follow at the Leduc Cemetery 6108 – 43 Street, Leduc, Alberta. A time of fellowship will be held at the Denham Inn & Suites (Discovery Ballroom) 5207 – 50 Avenue, Leduc, Alberta following the Service.In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 101 – 10642 – 178 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5S 1H4 or STARS, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, Alberta T2E 8M7.
