Selner, ViolaViola Selner, 86, Kewaunee passed away at home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, surrounded by her family.Viola was born on June 23, 1928 in Kewaunee to the late Raymond and Lottie (Ruttner) Bultman.She married Daniel Selner on October 7, 1950 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1993.Viola was known for her homemade Bohemian baking. She also enjoyed gardening and playing sheepshead and spending time with her grandchildren.She was a member of the
V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Rosary Society, the Sheepshead Marathon along with the Senior Center Card Club, where she was on the Board of Directors. She was a former member of the Carlton American Legion Auxiliary, Czechs of Norman and Wayside Homemakers.Viola is survived by her children Joan (Dennis) Raisleger, Pat (Jerry) Jadin, Barb Porath, Glenn (Karen) Selner, Wayne (Tammy) Selner, Jerry (Renee) Selner and Jean (Steve) Netols. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren - Jeff (Apryl) Raisleger, Jim (Angie) Raisleger, Matt (Lisa) Jadin, Tim (Tavy) Jadin, Renee (Mitch) Rice, Rick (Heather) Porath, Brad Porath, Luke (fiancé Andrea) Porath, Rachel (Dave) Steffens, Brandon Selner (special friend Brittany), Kendra (Jared) Petersen, Adam Selner, Chelsea Selner, Georgie Selner, Jason Selner, Beau Selner, Ben Selner, Marissa Selner (special friend Cole) and Daniel Netols.She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Mleziva, sister-in-law Bernetta Bultman, step sister Doris Berthold, step brother Robert Prokash and four godchildren.Viola was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, son-in-law Wayne Porath, father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Rose Selner, brother Edward Bultman, brother-in-law Harvey Mleziva, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Dorothy (Frank) Wisnicky, Raymond (Joyce) Selner, Clara (Deacon Dana) Gallenberger, Donald Berthold, June Prokash, nephew Gary Mleziva and niece, Suzanne Selner.Friends may call at Holy Rosary Church, 519 Kilbourn St., Kewaunee at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. with Father James Dillenberg and Deacon Chuck Agnew officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Go to
