Carrier, Virgil H. Apr. 22, 1927 - Nov. 13, 2015 Virgil H. Carrier, 88, of Cincinnati, OH, died on Nov. 13, 2015. He was born on April 22, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan, son of Alfred and Nora Carrier. Virgil was a veteran serving in the
U.S. Navy during
WWII. He had a lengthy career of 25 years with the Michigan State Police, was last assigned to Fire Marshals Division and retired as a Detective Sergeant in 1976. He continued his career with the state of Michigan and worked an additional 12 years with the Department of Regulatory Services, within the Social Services. Once completely retired, Virgil and his wife lived in Nokomis, Florida for 24 years, where they enjoyed their winters in Florida and summers at their Michigan cottage home at Big White Fish Lake. Virgil enjoyed building and carpentry as a hobby, relished his time at his cottage with family and friends, and was very passionate about the game of golf. He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene; and his loving children: Michelle (Rick) and Michael (Jann). Virgil is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael, Jason (Andrea) and Shannon (Christopher). Virgil was a single child and preceded in death by parents. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2 PM in the Mansion at Evergreen Retirement Community, 230 W Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
