Virgil (Ray) VandenbarkZANESVILLE: Virgil (Ray) Vandenbark, 80, of Zanesville, died at 7:26 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at OSU Medical Center.He was born on March 26, 1934 in Zanesville a son of the late Virgil Ray and Clara Eppley Vandenbark. He was retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy where he worked for 30 years. He then retired again after 10 years working for Newton Township. He was a 32nd Degree Past Master Mason, member of Fultonham Lodge #368 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, and York Rite, Amrou Grotto, past Worthy Patron of Victoria Chapter #31 Eastern Star, and a member of Olive Branch Chapter #251 of Duncan Falls.He is survived by his wife, Rose Vandenbark of the home; three children, Jerry (Robin) Vandenbark of Spokane, WA, Cindy (Jack) Campbell of Nashport, and Robert Vandenbark of Zanesville; three step-children, David Vandenbark, Terry (Gay) Vandenbark, and Jeffrey (Jamie) Vandenbark; one brother, Lester (Sally) Vandenbark; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Vandenbark; two brothers, Byron Vandenbark and David Vandenbark; a step-granddaughter, Danielle Vandenbark.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 3014. Rev. Tim Carr officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. Masonic services and Eastern Star services will be held Monday at 5:30 p.m at the funeral home.
