Virginia Jones, a beloved member of the Florissant community, passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 86. Born on January 21, 1937, to Harold and Linda Johnson, Virginia was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother whose kind and gentle spirit touched many lives throughout her lifetime.
Virginia married Randy Jones in 1960 and the couple was blessed with two children, Randy Jr. and Christian. They raised their children with love and devotion, always putting their family first and creating a warm and nurturing home that was the center of many joyful memories.
Virginia attended Hazelwood Central High School, where she was an excellent student and a gifted athlete. After graduation, she went on to attend Lindenwood College, where she continued to excel academically and athletically.
After completing her education, Virginia pursued a career as a nurse. She was a dedicated and compassionate caregiver who always put her patients first. Throughout her career, Virginia worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others, demonstrating a deep commitment to her community and a passion for helping others.
In her free time, Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader, a passionate cook, and a talented artist who never failed to inspire those around her with her creativity and her zest for life. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time outdoors, always seeking out new adventures and experiences.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Randy, her children Randy Jr. and Christian, and her four grandchildren, as well as by countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones whose lives she touched with her warmth, her compassion, and her unwavering spirit of generosity and love.
Rest in peace, Virginia. You will always be remembered and cherished by those whose lives you touched with your kindness and your grace.
