We are sad to announce the passing of Virginia Berkey, beloved wife, mother, and friend, who left this world on July 8, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on September 20, 1948, Virginia was the daughter of Stanford Leroy Cherry and Jeanne Elizabeth Black.

Virginia married the love of her life, John Berkey, in 1971 and together they raised one daughter, Erin Hagen, who she adored. Erin, along with her spouse Joshua Hagen, brought immense joy to Virginia's life.

Virginia was a dedicated employee at Heidelberg College, Bureau of Land Management, where she made a lasting impact. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cross stitch, art projects, and even had a passion for motorcycles.

Virginia was a graduate of Willard High School and continued her studies at Tiffany University, where she excelled both academically and socially.

Virginia's infectious laughter and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She fought a brave battle against cancer, but ultimately succumbed to complications related to the disease.
