Virginia Arlene Christian Nix Jordan, 91, was called by The Lord to her eternal home on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016.She is survived by her sister, Audrey Royer; daughter, Annette (Hugh) Willingham; son, Jeff (Nancy) Nix; grandchildren, Kathy (Blair) West, Greg (Ramona) Willingham, Mark Willingham, Kristen (John) Bedwell and Josh (Candice) Nix; great-grandchildren, Abbey and Carter West, Gracyn Willingham, Brycen and Izzy Willingham, Aubrey and Addison Bedwell, Ella Nix and Jay (Ashleigh) Caldwell; and great-great-grandson, Jesse Caldwell. She is preceded in death by Denford Nix, husband of 46 years; Warren Jordan, husband of 12 years; her daughter, Karene Richardson Lee; and brother, J.W. Christian.She was born on Dec. 16, 1924, in Marshall County and was a devoted family woman who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and dear friends, always generous and willing to help out anyone in need. She was a member of the Etowah County Homemakers Club and of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and being outdoors.Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the service. The Rev. Lauil Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday with services to follow. Burial is at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Bedwell, Josh Nix, Blair West, Carter West, Greg Willingham and Mark Willingham.
