While in high school she participated in bowling, chorus, choir and musical plays. Ginny graduated in 1951.Shortly after graduation,Ginny met the love of her life, James E. "Jim" Morgan. Ginny recently recalled, "I had just graduated from high school at Mount Pleasant High. My friend Liz and I took a bus to her aunt's house as her aunt had set us up on blind dates. My date was supposed be Larry and Liz's date was supposed to be Jim. When they drove up, Jim and Larry were sitting in the back seat and Liz and I did not know who was who. Jim held his hand out to me and it felt as if a magnet was pulling us towards each other." After a three month courtship, Jim and Ginny married in Royal Oak, Michigan.
