Virginia "Ginny" Guck, 85Little FallsMay 10, 1931 - April 28, 2017Virginia "Ginny" Guck, Age 85 of Little Falls, died Friday, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 5 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Joe Herzing Officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 4 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, and from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Rice, MN.  A Parish Prayer will be said at 7:30 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.Virginia Mary Fromelt was born on May 10, 1931 in St. Cloud, MN to Herbert and Marie Fromelt. She grew up in Rice, MN where she attended District #6 primary school.  She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949. Ginny later attended St. Cloud Technical College LPN Nursing Program, graduating in 1970.  She was united in marriage to Raymond Guck on August 3, 1950. The couple made their home in Royalton, MN. In December of 1992 the couple moved to Little Falls. Ginny spent many years working at St. Gabriel's Hospital, Family Medical Clinic and Mary of Lourdes Schools in Little Falls.After retiring, Ginny was a well known and loved volunteer for over 24 years at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. She was awarded Care Provider of Minnesota Adult Volunteer in 2015.She was their official floral decorator and Sacristan of the chapel. She never missed the opportunity to share every holiday with the residents and staff with her special decorating throughout the home and chapel.  She was also well known for her amazing baking and cooking always made with love as the key ingredient.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joseph (Rosie) Guck of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Jo (Charles) Bailey of Mankato, MN, James (Denise) Guck of Rice, MN, Michael (Barbara) Guck of Lakeville, MN, Robert (Cheryl) Guck of Sartell, MN, Carolyn (Robert) Nelson of Sartell, David (Carleen) Guck of Elk River, MN, Ted (Sue) Guck of Woodbury, MN; brothers, Herbert (Eleanor) Fromelt of Royalton, Thomas (Pam) Fromelt of Chicago, IL, Bill (Diane) Fromelt of Sauk Rapids, MN; sisters, Mary Ann (Vic) May of St. Cloud, MN, Roberta (Jerry) Sargent of Saginaw, MI, Margaret (Steve) Lye of Portland, WA, Kate (Art) Boylan of Mahtomedi and Linda (Gary) Wieber of Elk River, 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; and sisters, Rose Marie Fromelt and Mardelle Dallager.Memorial are preferred to St. Otto's Care Center Chapel.The arrangements are with Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls 320-632-4393.
