NEWBERRY, SOUTH CAROLINA - On Saturday, November 26, 2016, Virginia Inez Chapman was called to eternal rest. She was born on December 22, 1950, to the late Vastile and Francis Corbin, Sr., in Gloucester, VA. Virginia attended school in Gloucester, VA. She resided and worked in Newport News, VA, until relocating to Newberry, S.C. In 2016, she retired from Burger King, after 24 years of service. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Harris, brothers, Francis Corbin, Jr. and Donald Ray Corbin. She leaves to cherish her loving memories with her husband, of 33 years, Senius Chapman, of Newberry, S.C.; sisters, Brenda Sparks and Carol Corbin, both of Ordinary, VA; brothers, Richard Corbin, Thomas Corbin, both of Ordinary, VA and Madison Corbin, of Newport News, VA; brothers-in-law, John R. Harris, of Gloucester, VA, Charles Chapman, of Minnesota, Bobby Chapman (Barbara), and Melvin Chapman (Beverly), both of Newberry, S.C; sisters-in-law, Lenora Eichelberger and Loretta (Curtis), both of Newberry, S.C., Christine Corbin, of Gloucester, VA; stepson, Juan Williams (Shondeka), and stepdaughter, Alicia R. Hahn, of Waco, TX; five grandchildren; her special friends, Carolyn Taylor, Debra Sims, and Marion Randall; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, in Frist Baptist Church, 4213 George Washington Highway, Ordinary, Virginia. Interment will follow in Gloucester Fields Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 6833 Ernest Lane by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mrs. Chapman may be viewed in the church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
