Virginia Irene Miller Weese, 80, of Zolfo Springs, Florida, left this world for her heavenly home after a battle with cancer on July 10, 2023.
Virginia was born on July 24, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late John Ambrose Miller and Bernice Evelyn Werdehoff Miller. Virginia was raised in Chelsea, Michigan and was the second born of the four Miller girls. Virginia married her husband, Dale Weese, on March 9, 1973. Virginia retired from her book manufacturing career after 26 years; however, she and her husband continued serving for the Army Corp of Engineers for 16 years where the couple managed campgrounds all around the United States. Virginia enjoyed camping with her husband and friends. She was a member of the “Good Sams Club” where her husband served as the chapter president. Together, they participated in many rallies and events with their honorary member: their beloved dog, Duncan, dressed in full member attire. Virginia loved to dance. She participated in many dancing events with an interest and talent specifically in clogging. Virginia loved to play games and you could always find her playing the offered games of the night chit-chatting and enjoying herself. Virginia had a passion for horses, a love of reading, and it would be no surprise to find her on pretty day spending hours digging in her flower bed.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her son John James “Jamie” Cameron, her dog, Duncan, and brother in law Kenneth Hopkins.
Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory include her husband of 50 years Dale Weese; her daughter, Terry Barnett (John) of Conover, NC and sons : Ernest Cameron (Tina) of Claremont, NC and Danny Weese of Hastings, Michigan; sisters: Bernice (Gary) Packard of Chelsea Michigan, Judy Radant (Phil) of Chelsea, Michigan and Marilyn Hopkins of Kahului, Hawaii. Grandchildren: Brittany Myer (Jon) of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Samantha Morseau of Dowagiac, Michigan, John James Cameron, JR. (Ona) of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Tasha Hatfield (Jason) of Claremont, NC, Ginni Hefner (Andrew) of Conover, NC, Justin Cameron (Correy) of Newton, NC, Gabriel Weese (Kerissa) of Hopkins, Michigan, Gavin Weese of Wayland, Michigan , Ivan Weese and Cohen Weese of Dorr Michigan; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, The family also asks that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild, friend or walk in the woods for a moment, hour, or a day. Time waits for no one.
