Virginia L. McGraw, 76, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at First Church of God in Vandalia, with the Rev. Tom Farris officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: Fayette County Teachers Association scholarship fund. Online condolences can be expressed at www.millerfh.net.Mrs. McGraw was born on June 6, 1940, in Centralia, the daughter of Walter and Virginia (Black) Wilson, and raised by foster parents, Carroll and Daisy Simmons. She married Richard R. Fiscus on June 12, 1963; he passed away. She married Robert J. McGraw on March 16, 1991; he passed away on May 4, 2008.She was a retired teacher from Brownstown Elementary School, and a member of First Church of God in Vandalia and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.She is survived by daughters, Christina and her husband David Harrison of Vandalia, and Cynthia and her husband Dean Rhodes of St. Clair, Mo.; sisters, Pat and her husband Paul Espy of Cerro Gordo, Anette Stevens of Decatur, Pam and her husband Danny Goff of Salem, and Ruth Elliott of Sandoval; sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Kinmundy; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents; husband; son, Timothy; brothers, Robert, Walter and Jim; and sister, Sue.
