Virginia Louise Riley SnyderGreeneville, TNVirginia Louise Riley Snyder, of Greeneville, TN and more recently of St. George Island, FL died unexpectedly on July 24th, 2017 in Florida at the age of 77. Louise was a beautiful soul with a love for life, abundant energy, constant expectancy that life was good & was so excited to pursue her recently retired status with her family & friends. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Snyder Rickerson, son-in-law Ricky Rickerson, and grandson Riley Rickerson of St. George Island, FL. Two sisters, Pat Lusk (Robert, deceased) and Charlotte Lessig (Dennis) of Seymour, TN. Granddaughter Madelyn Brown (Eric) and great granddaughter Iris. Grandson Weston Ottem (Sasha) and great-grandson Jack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters Alma Jean, Age 2 and Barbara Ann, Age 18 months. Her husband of 25 years, Wayne Snyder (47) of Greeneville, TN. Her son, Benjamin Snyder (48) of Knoxville, TN. And her fiancé of 23 years Richard Gillespie (78) of Greeneville, TN. Her parent's Benjamin and Virginia Riley of Kodak, TN. Louise was born on June 10, 1940 in Kodak, TN to Ben and Virginia Riley. She graduated from Sevier County High School in 1958. She married Wayne Snyder in 1961, children Benny and Jeanne were born in 1963 and 1969 respectively. In 1978 she returned to school at East Tennessee State University graduating ultimately with her LCSW, MSW, LCP with honors. She began working for the Greeneville City School system in 1974 and retired 37 years later. In 1987 she began working at The Greeneville Pediatric clinic in private practice and retired in December of 2016. She thoroughly enjoyed and loved both jobs, her co-workers, and all of her patients. Kelley Funeral Home assisted the family in the handling of all local arrangements. Visitation and memorial services will be held at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown, in Greeneville, TN on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 3pm to 5pm with the memorial service immediately following.
