LORAIN – Virginia R. McComas, 96, of Lorain, formerly of West Hamlin, WV, passed away on November 24, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. She was born on April 4, 1920 in Logan, WV to the late Everett and Vida (Bailey) Brumfield. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.She is survived by her children Phyllis (Jon) Haag, of Lorain, Wetzel (Peggy) McComas Jr., of Lagrange, Johnny McComas, of Huntington, WV, Nancy (Bob) White, of Smithville, OH, and Hurley (Judy) McComas, of Berlin Heights, Rosalene Browning, of Lorain, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Mary, Hilma, and Mildred, a brother Howard, and a grandson John Brandon McComas. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights, where services will take place on Monday at 1:00 pm.
