Sandroni, Virginia "Ginny" Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Sandroni, Nee DeFazio, died peacefully in her home Thursday, June 8, in Delafield, WI, at the age of 71. Ginny is survived by her children, Virginia (Sandroni) Daugherity (husband Jon), Peter Sandroni (wife Sonia), and Michael Sandroni, as well as grandchildren, Marcus, Sean, August, Isabella, and Gabriela. She is preceded in death by her husband, Augusto "Gus" Sandroni, and her parents, Peter and Virginia DeFazio. Ginny was born on November 16, 1945, in Long Branch, NJ. She graduated from Marquette University in 1967. She married her college sweetheart, Gus Sandroni, in 1969 and they started a family together soon after. Ginny will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a devoted grandmother, a longtime Marquette University supporter and fan (season ticket holder since 1963), and volunteer at Irish Fest for over 30 years. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 9:00-10:45AM at St. Pius Catholic Church, 2506 N. Wauwatosa Ave., Wauwatosa, with the Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for 11:00AM.
