Vivian Lovelace LownColumbus, NC - Vivian Lovelace Lown, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at theHospice House of Landrum, South Carolina. She was predeceased by herhusband of 73 years Carlyle Lown and her brother, Gleason Lovelace.She was born on May 16, 1924 in Poughkeepsie, New York, the daughter ofEdgar J. and Edith Lovelace. She lived in Hyde Park, New York before movingto Columbus, North Carolina in January of 2013.She worked at Vassar Brothers Hospital, in the laboratory and engineeringdepartments for 30 years.She is survived by her daughter, Andrea C. Lown; her son, Jeffery L. Lownand a daughter-in-law, Jo Jean Lown; four grandchildren, Kristin A. Lown,Eric Lown, Jamie Lown and Radiance Jacks; daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Verdi,mother of Kristen and Eric Lown; five great grandchildren, Evan Lown, EmmaLown, Abby Lown, Brie Jacks and Shapphira Detrick.There will be no services.Condolences may be left at www.pettyfuneralhome.com.
