Von Washington was born on February 5, 1935 to late joe Washington Sr.,, and Elmira Robinson in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Von married Sharon Kathleen Atwood. He was employed as a drug counselor for many years and eventually opened his own business. He so enjoyed it, he would often work late into the night. In addition to owning a business, Von was an Auxiliary police officer for the city of Inkster and also earned a degree from Madonna University. 

Von was a loving father and loved helping people. Biking was his passion and he was an avid biker.

Von made his transition on Friday, August 7, 2020. He is survived by his daughter Kidada and; 5 grand children Fabrice, Jada, Mercedes, Travonna and Amara. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
