It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Fisher, who was born on March 7th, 1923 in Manassas, Virginia, United States, and peacefully left this world on May 18th, 2023, after a long and fulfilling life.
Walter was the beloved son of Winston and Winifred Fisher, who have preceded him in death. He was a devoted partner to Peggy Wells, who also preceded him in death in 2007. Together, they welcomed five beautiful children, Troy, Jennifer, Irma, Sally, and Henry.
Walter proudly served his country as a Captain in the US Army and was honored for his service. His dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to his country will never be forgotten.
Walter was a kind-hearted and devoted father and grandfather, who will be deeply missed by his eight grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who knew him.
Preston and Sons Funeral Home of Manassas is Serving the family. Arrangements are being made with the deepest care and sympathy by FD Tonya Sanderson.
As they say, death is a natural part of life and, sadly, Walter met his demise due to natural causes. But though his physical form has departed from this earth, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forevermore. Walter, you will be deeply missed, and we thank you for the immeasurable impact you had on this world.
