Walter Downs, 81, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed on March 17, 2023 from cardiovascular disease . Walter was born on June 12, 1941.

Walter was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, after the loss of his true love he still showed love and compassion for his still present family. A man of few words would open as a book would for those he held closest to him. When on his own throughout the days Walter would make the most of what he had left and spend his time giving to others and spreading love to those he saw in need. From the love he showed we can only hope to walk a mile in the shoes of this great man.
