Wanda Lou Danner, 88, of Lignum, died Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her home. She was born July 20, 1935 in Scott County, VA to the late Burley and Martha Gibson. 

Wanda was a hard worker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. 

She is survived by her husband Melvin Legard Danner; three step children, Melissa Maggiore (John), Sandra Reed (Chris), and Lisa Danner; one brother, MacArthur Gibson; five step grandchildren, Justin Patten, Michael Danner, Christopher Lance, Josh Reed, and Meghan Lance; and six step great grandchildren, Timothy Patten, Jacob Patten, Nevah Lewis, Colton Rosenthal, Olivia Danner, and Paeyton Lance. 

In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Qualls; and four brothers, Kyle Gibson, R. L. Gibson, Elmo Gibson, and Kenneth Gibson. 

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Lee Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 4160 Rixeyville Rd, Jeffersonton, VA 22724. Pallbearers serving the family will be Jeff Gibson, Bobby Gibson, Gary Gibson, Rusty Gibson, Junior Gibson, and Justin Patten, with one honorary pallbearer, Cenie Van Hoven.
