Wanda Garber, 72, of Columbus, Ohio, passed on March 22, 2023. Wanda was born on June 15, 1950 In Louisville Kentucky. The daughter of the late James and Annie Huston. Wanda graduated from Princeton High School in 1968, she attended college, receiving some of her credits towards early childhood education. Wanda worked several different jobs including a Loan Officer for First Bank, and security manager at Pinkertons, and a private security guard for Walmart, where she caught people shoplifting. Her greatest job though was being a wife and a mother. Wanda was a member of the Genoa Baptist Church in Westerville, which she attended regularly since 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents, children Frank Garber and Tina Frederick, and brother James Huston Paige Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42 years David Garber; sons Brad (Debbie) Garber, Darrell (Kandice) Garber II, Christian Mobley, Joshua and Tristan Huston; daughters Joanna Huston, Tiffany Garber, Rebecca (Cesar) Alfaro, and Sarah (Nick Eye) Huston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Huston; and sister Linda Dean; canine companions Max, Ollie, and Travis Barker.

Wanda’s house was open to anyone, and everyone. If you were going through a hard part in your life, Wanda would take you under her wing, and see to it that you were taken care of. She enjoyed cooking, especially anything homemade, and country cooking from growing up in Kentucky. Her house was always clean, and when she wasn’t taking care of the house, she enjoyed shopping. The family enjoyed spending time in their RV traveling around the Country. Spending a lot of time at the Sand Dunes in California. She and David especially enjoyed going to the Magic Castle in California. Wanda was a spitfire, she was an angel, and to some a best friend.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday, March 24,2023 at Short North Church. 25 W 5th Ave in Columbus Ohio 43201.
