Warren A. WalshWarren A Walsh died Monday, March 27 at the age of 95 years old. Warren was born on November 28, 1921, in Ellendale, ND to James B and Anna (Stolp)Walsh. He graduated from Fullerton high school in 1939. He managed a grain elevator in Ipswich, SD, until February 1942, when he enlisted in the navy, serving until the end of WWII. Warren attained the rating of Chief Machinist and earned many medals including the Purple Heart for his wounding at the invasion of Europe. Warren married Ardella (Schroeder)Grendler on November 19, 1964, in Sheridan, WY. They never had any children of their own but were very much loved by many nieces and nephews. They were very involved in the life of their niece Lana Schroeder, who passed away in 2011. Warren worked road construction for many years and spent countless hours volunteering at local nursing homes, meals on wheels, Avera McKennan Hospital , the VA Hospital and was an usher at his church, First United Methodist in Sioux Falls. Proceeding Warren in death were his parents James B and Anna, brothers James (Eva) Walsh and Robert (Mary) Walsh. Grateful to have shared his life is his wife Ardie whom he was married to for 55 years.No memorial is scheduled at this time.
