FREMONT — Warren Carl Meilander, age 74, of Lake George, Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola, Indiana. He was born on November 13, 1940, the son of Carl and Laura (Koch) Meilander. They preceded him in death. He was an electrical engineer and worked many years for Electric Cord, starting in Cleveland, Ohio, and retiring in Angola, Indiana. He was a strong and faithful Christian and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana. He was an avid outdoorsman, and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, cutting wood, being outdoors and in the woods, playing golf, and was a big Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Indians fan, and a history buff. He married Linda L. (Zaerr) Roth on March 8, 2014, at Peace Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda L. Meilander of Lake George, Fremont, Indiana. Calling hours will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana, with the Rev. Wayne Berkesch officiating. Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana Memorials are requested to Wee Creations Pre-School, Fremont, Indiana. Beams Funeral Home in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
