Warren G. Morgan, 95, passed away on October 31st, 2016 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born on November 7, 1920 in Crawford County, Kansas. He was the son of Maude Lake Morgan and George Morgan and grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas. He attended local public schools in Pittsburg, and graduated from College High School. He was a veteran of
World War II, and was stationed in Sudbury, England during the war. Warren was a Supply Sergeant and served in the 834th Bombardment Squadron, and was qualified as a Submachine Gun Expert. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945. He was a barber by trade, and owned and operated his own barbershop for many years in South Florida. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, and was a past Master of his lodge in Miami, Florida. Warren was a member of the Chattahoochee Presbyterian Church in Chattahoochee, Florida.He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Myrtle Edwards Morgan. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy M. Sturtz of Tallahassee, his son-in-law, Ernest Sturtz, his grandson, Todd Sturtz, and his granddaughter, Caroline V. Sturtz.A graveside service for Warren is set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Highland Park Cemetery, Pittsburg, with Reverend Mark Chambers officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted at the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard Military Honors Team. Friends may leave condolences online at
