Warren W. Dorman, age 73, of Herrickville, Pa., left to go to HotRod Heaven late Thursday evening, Oct. 27, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Warren was born on Nov. 11, 1942, the son of the late George and Zetta Dorman, in Pequannock, N.J. He was married to the former Joyce R. Barrett, who passed away on Dec. 26, 2010. The couple was married on Feb. 4, 1961.Warren owned and operated Warren's Auto in Herrickville, Pa., with his son Todd. He started the auto shop in 1961 and worked until his retirement in 2005. After retirement, he focused on building award winning '50s style custom street rods with the help of his good friends Steve Volker and John Voda Jr., who referred to him as the "RodFather." Warren was also an avid New York Rangers, New York Giants, and NASCAR fan. Warren was survived by his three children, Todd Dorman (Kim Ferrara) of Herrickville, Pa., Laura Ely of Towanda, Pa., and Dan Dorman (Linda Godfrey) of Centerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Lynette Baber (Jacob Baber) of Danville, Pa., Chad Ely (Lindsay Ely) of Dushore, Pa., Jeffrey Dorman of Sayre, Pa., Traci Ely (Brock Smith) of Susquehanna, Pa., Andrew Dorman of Harrisburg, Pa., Ty Dorman of Celina, Ohio, McKenzie Potts (Ian Potts) of Provo, Utah, Clay Dorman of Columbus, Ohio; and great-granddaughter, Savannah Ely of Dushore, Pa. He is also survived by special caregiver and sister-in-law, Joan Barrett Lis; many brothers/sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stan Dorman, and many brothers/sisters-in-law.A celebration of life visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, Pa.
