WILLIAMSBURG - Wayne Johnson Britt was the son of Claudine Johnson Britt and Howard Lee Britt of Ivor, Virginia. He was born on June 29, 1942, spent his childhood living in Surry, Virginia and moved to Williamsburg with his family when he was sixteen. He graduated from James Blair High School in 1960 and attended Thomas Nelson Community College. He joined the United States
Army Reserve in 1962 and received an honorable discharge in 1968. Wayne is survived by Joyce Ann Siceloff, his wife of fifty-four years, and their three children; Robin Britt Ford (Dennis), Russell Wayne Britt, and Kenneth Randolph Britt (Kristy), and seven grandchildren; Dylan, Jared, Mckenzie, Tyler, Justin, Parrish and Mattie. He is also survived by his sister, Lori Britt Kilroy of Conway, SC, and a sister-in-law, Susan Britt. Wayne founded WAYJO, Inc. in 1975 and served as president until 2008 when he retired and proudly handed over the reins of his company to his two sons. He enjoyed snow skiing and hunting with his sons and son-in-law, Dennis, boating, and traveling with his family. The epitome of a family man, Wayne was most proud of his three children and seven grandchildren. He took pride and celebrated each of their personal, professional, and academic accomplishments. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 12th at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA. Telephone (757) 565-1141.
