Forever in Our Hearts

Wayne (Snoopy) Larrett Landrum Jr., aged 60 of Lexington, Virginia, due to unexpected illness, passed away on December 20, 2025 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 14, 1965, to Wayne (Winkie) L. Landrum Sr. and Charlotte M. Landrum of Evington, VA. Snoopy was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Ellie Waugh.

Snoopy was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and infectious laughter. Snoopy had a deep love for his family and friends, spending as much time as possible with them. He worked for many years in Lynchburg, VA at Marvin V. Templeton & Sons, Inc. before opening his own garage (CRS), utilizing his business and mechanical gifts. Later, Snoopy worked several years for W.E.L on top of serving his own barbeque at the local festivals, before moving and working for the city of Lexington, VA. He was liked by many colleagues and customers. Outside of work and family, Snoopy had a passion for the outdoors and spent countless hours camping and fishing. You’d often hear him and his family talk of all the fun times they had at the beach as well. He also loved bowling, softball, and spending time with his dog, Rowdy, who went everywhere with him.

Snoopy is survived by his son, Garrett Wayne Landrum, stepdaughter, Charliene C. Tompkins (Artie), and grandson, Hunter Wayne Landrum. He’s also survived by his sister, Bo L. Yost (Barry), brother, Ronald E. Landrum (Sarah), niece, Desiree Bryant (John), nephews, Barry Yost Jr. (Michele), Ronald Landrum Jr., Schyler C. Landrum, and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Snoopy’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm and caring heart touched the lives of everyone he met. Snoopy may be gone, but his memory will always live on in those he left behind. May he rest in peace.

A celebration of Snoopy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Norwood Baptist Church, 1045 Random Way Forest, VA 24551.
