Schrab, WayneWayne Schrab, 73, passed away on Sunday, October 30, at Living Tree Estates, Greenville. He was born on April 18, 1943 in Mayville, the only child of Harold and Dorothy (Bening) Schrab. He attended St. John's Lutheran School, Mayville and was a 1961 graduate of Mayville High School. Wayne earned a Bachelor of Science, Secondary Education - Mathematics Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in 1965. He received a Masters of Science, Secondary Education - Mathematics and Science from UW Madison. Wayne married Mae Porath of rural Juneau on August 21, 1965 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mayville. He taught mathematics at Montello Public Schools from 1965 to 1979. That year the family moved from Puckaway Lake, rural Montello, Marquette County to Appleton. Wayne began a 25 year career at AAL (Thrivent). At the time of his retirement he was a systems analyst. Following Wayne's retirement he volunteered for four years at Fox Valley Lutheran High School as a substitute teacher and math tutor. Wayne was a long time member of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church. Wayne is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mae, his son David (Michelle) and one granddaughter Lindsey. Wayne is further survived by one aunt, Verda Margelofsky, cousins and friends. The funeral service for Wayne will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Ave., Appleton with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the Community Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Freedom. The family would like to thank Rev. Robert Raasch, Rev.
