Waynetta Poteat Hairston, of Danville, Virginia, departed life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville ,GA.

She was born October 9th 1953 to the late Walter Davis Poteat and Onnie Mae Watkins Poteat. May of 1999 she was wed and matrimony to Kermit Hairston. Waynetta worked many years for Danville Pittsylvania County Mental Health Service Board until retiring in 2011, and she was also a devoted Jehovah Witness.

She leaves to cherish her daughter, Denita P Richardson (Eric P Richardson) Dacula, GA, 2 sisters Deborah Murry (Danny Murray) of Dayton Ohio, Starnel Turner of Plainfield NJ. Predeceased Kathy D Vasquez, 1 brother Vernell Dodson( Jack Davis Dodson) of Somerset , NJ. Her Grandchildren, Jessica, Quinton,Hadrian and Erica. Her nephew Delvin and WIllie Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
