Wendy CoblerWendy Marie Cobler passed away Sunday, August 6th 2017 at Sanford Medical Center while surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 25th, 1960 to Lyle and Norma (Cosby) Newcomb in Huron, South Dakota. Wendy preferred to be called Marie by her family and friends. She proudly served in the United States Air Force for 12 years. During that time, Marie was married to William "Bill" Massie and had two children, William and Tanya, before the dissolution of her first marriage. Marie was stationed overseas in Germany for a period of time where she met and married Edward Cobler. The family moved back to the United States and welcomed two more children, Tacia and Bryanna. Following the birth of her last child, Marie left the Air Force. Marie had an adventurous soul and loved to move around. Following their move back to the United States, the family lived in Georgia, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Minnesota. She had a huge love for animals and always had at least one dog in the house, if not several. She enjoyed playing on the computer, reading anything she could put her hands on, and seeing her grandchildren. Words don't describe the kind of person she was but she is remembered fondly by those who knew her. Marie was preceded in death by both her parents, brother, Dennis Cosby, sister, Tammy Wilson and an infant sister. She is survived by her husband, Ed Cobler, and children, William Massie, Tanya (Massie) Leber, Tacia (Cobler) Underwood (husband William "Bill" Underwood), Bryanna Cobler and siblings Cynthia Saunders Meyer, Chuck Newcomb, Barb Sinkie and Kimberly Tholl.
