Harder, Wilbur F. "Bill" Bill Harder, 89, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. Bill was born on December 24, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Wilbur and Helen (Simonek) Harder. Bill lived in the Southwest side of Chicago for over 50 years, and relocated briefly to Northwest Indiana and Florida before moving to Arizona in 1992. He is survived by his wife of nearly 69 years, Dolores (Breitzke) Harder, his daughter Debora (John) Bailey and his son Gerry (Kathy) Harder; 9 grandchildren: Matthew, Steven, Christine, Daniel and Evelyn Harder; Kelly Bailey Williams, Madeline Bailey and Bryan and Megan Harder; as well as 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Philip (Donna) Harder. Bill was an active member at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, and his loves in life included the Chicago Bears, classic cars, golf, and good beer. Memorial Mass will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2654 E. Williams Field Rd., Gilbert, Arizona. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Mesa, AZ.
