Ray, Wilbur TheodoreRAY, Wilbur Theodore, 79, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19th at 11:00am at Southern Memorial with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow at 2:45pm in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. He was born on July 11, 1937 in Millinocket, ME. He retired from the USAF as a MSgt after serving for 27 years and went on to work as a government contractor for 16 years. He served as Marshal of Kolomi Golf Course. Wilbur was a member of the local VFW and also Oklahoma Softball Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linwood & Lorena Williams; daughter, Cindy Ann Ray; brothers, Lonnie Ray, Edgar Ray (his twin) & Donnie Williams; sisters, Eleanor Williams, Beverly Ray, & Donna Ray. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Ray; children, Sherry Ray, Debra (Maj JW, USAF, Ret) Stewart, & Robert Ray; grandchildren, SSgt Michael (Hannah) Jones, Joshua (Ariel) Jones, & Robyn Ray; great grandchildren, Hadley Jones, Hampton Jones, & Nolan Jones; siblings, Bernie (Shelia) Ray, Linda (Tony) Bronzin, JoAnne (Bruce) Heanssler, Linwood Williams, Jr., Tommy (Coco) Williams, & Randy Williams; in-laws, David (Gloria) Scott, Christopher (Bridgett) Scott, William Scott, Philip (Jean) Scott, Roger(Margaret) Hewitt, Priscilla (Vernon) Beane, & Debra (Clive) Bird along with numerous nieces, nephews, & extended family members from Maine & England.
