Wilford D. "Bus" Oswalt, 82MUNCIE - Wilford D. "Bus" Oswalt, 82, passed away on Saturday afternoon, October 28, 2017 at The Waters of Muncie.He was born on September 17, 1935 in Blackford County, the son of Virgil F. and Goldie M. (Mellick) Oswalt and graduated from Blackford High School in 1953. On December 12, 1986 in Muncie, he married Marilyn K. Matson.Bus co-owned Victory Lanes in Hartford City, managed Butler Bowl for 7 years and helped to build Village Bowl in Muncie that he managed for over 20 years, and worked for the Eagles Lodge #248 in Fort Wayne until his retirement in 2014. He was a lifetime member of the P.B.A, was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame for Muncie, Fort Wayne, DeKalb County and the State of Indiana, had many lifetime achievements at the local, state and national level and enjoyed golfing.Surviving are his wife, Marilyn K. Oswalt of Muncie; four children, Lana Waymire (husband, Donnie) of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy Burns (husband, David) of Muncie, David Oswalt of Phoenix, AZ and Asa Oswalt of Muncie; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Rogers (husband, Clyde) and Carol Lee Reed; one brother, Phillip Oswalt (wife, Winnie); and his former wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Oswalt of Phoenix, AZ.He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter in infancy, Mary Renee Oswalt; and eight brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 or one hour prior to services on Friday.Memorial contributions may be made to the , Central Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.Online condolences may be directed to the family at
