"Marty" Wilfred Patrick Martinez, 75, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 17, 1939, in Mora to Florencio Martinez and Maggie Pacheco Allen. He graduated from Mora High School in 1956.On Feb. 15, 1969, he married Lola Garcia at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton. They had one daughter, Yolanda, and one son, Patrick.He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 28 years.Marty enjoyed playing his guitars, listening to music, going to dances, late night poker games, traveling, being a snowbird, camping and hunting, attending grandkid sports, watching all sports, giving advice, and even got on Facebook.Marty is survived by his wife, Lola; one daughter, Yolanda; one son, Patrick; four grandsons, Matthew Martinez, Dominic Martinez, Austin Martinez, and Deryck Perkes; two granddaughters, Alexis Martinez, RiLee (Travis) Mickelsen; one new great-grandson, Weston Chavez; three sisters, Dora Vigil, Ogden, Utah; Lucy Ella Vigil, American Fork, Utah; and Louisa Gonzales, Albuquerque; brother, Lee Martinez, Albuquerque; god-daughter, Christine Martinez, Las Vegas, Nev.; mother-in-law, Celsa Garcia; sister-in-law, Winnie Allen, Colusa, Calif.; and a lot of extended grandkids, family, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mack Allen; three sisters, Florence Mora, Mary Madaline Allen, Lillie Elizabeth Allen; father-in-law, Manuel A. Garcia; two brothers-in-law, Pete Vigil and Ben Vigil; and three nephews, Ronald Vigil, Derek Cummins, and Tyson Chavez.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at
