BERWAGER, Willetta M. Age 91, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born on January 12, 1925, in Dayton to William Edward and Laura (Engle) Davis who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years and her high school sweetheart, Carl G. Berwager, on May 12, 2012, her sister, Rachel Huffman, half-brother, Vernon Coy and his wife, Peggy, a brother-in-law, David Shaffer and her son-in-law, Cyril Hoying. Willetta is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie L. Hoying, of West Carrollton and Carol A. Berwager, of Fairborn; her sister-in-law, Helen B. Shaffer, of Beavercreek; 4 grandchildren, Debbie (Kent) Bierley, Bryan (Michelle) Hoying, Janine (Todd) Hartman, Jared (Amanda) Hoying; 7 great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Chris, William, Jacob, Megan, Abby and Grace; a very special family friend, Elmer Moore and many other relatives and friends. Willetta was a graduate of Beavercreek High School, Class of 1942 and had been employed as a bookkeeper. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Trinity especially Hayley, Jenny, Kyle, Magdalena, Nicole and Tracy for the love and care given to their mother and grandmother. A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer Starbuck for her love and compassion in caring for Willetta as though she were her own mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
